Health & Safety Policy

The company in the observance of the above Act declares that its policy is to ensure the Health & Safety of all Employees in the activities in which they are employed and the Premises and working areas in which they are required to work.

In addition the Company has an obligation to ensure the Health & Safety of other Companies Employees, self-employed persons, members of the public or any other person whatsoever during any time that they may be present on the premises.

The responsibility for the implementation of this policy is vested in J C Savage to whom all questions or reports should be addressed.

Employees must pay full regard to all warning notices identifying major hazards, dangerous machinery, etc, must co-operate fully by wearing goggles, masks, protective clothing, helmets, safety footwear, safety belts, etc, provided in respect of all or some of their duties and must comply with all safety rules. They must also be prepared to accept any relevant instruction or training deemed necessary, report any personal accident sustained at work, however minor to Ian Simpson (Service Manager).

It is also the duty of every Employee to assist the Employer in ensuring the Health & Safety of Fellow Employees and any other person or persons who may be on the premises at any time.

Annex 1 : Unit / Repair Workshops

1. Under no circumstances will unauthorised persons be permitted to enter the workshop.

2. Customers and visitors who are permitted to enter the workshop must be accompanied at all times by the workshop controller or an authorized competent person.

3. No unauthorised person is permitted to use, operate, or otherwise interfere with any item of equipment, machinery or appliance located in the workshop.

4. Trainees, placement and any person not deemed competent must be constantly supervised by a competent person assigned to them.

5. All persons entering, using or employed in the workshop must comply with any statutory notice, instruction or international safety sign relevant to the workshop.
